Annual Christmas Gift Project

The Tri-County Abuse Council for Elders provides community awareness, prevention and intervention services in Knox, Laurel and Whitley Counties of Kentucky.  Our belief is that every senior should have the most enjoyable and uplifting holiday season. The annual gift basket program is an initiative provided to one senior family from each of the three counties served by TRACE.

The initiative targets seniors who need a little extra help during the holiday season. The program is very uplifting and provides the senior with housewarming and household items, clothing and other gifts. A basket from the Corbin Lion’s Club is also included for each senior family which provides food and other holiday gifts.

Annual Senior Health and Wellness Fair

TRACE is a non-profit organization whose mission is to promote awareness of and to educate our communities about elder abuse.  Our annual Senior Health and Wellness Fair is held each spring.  This event includes speakers on topics pertinent to today’s society. National and local service providers, education institutions and vendors are invited to attend and provide education and services. Complimentary lunch and snacks are provided. Participating Seniors are registered to win great door prizes.  Last year’s Fair was a great success with over 20 vendors and over 100 senior citizens participating.
